Pavlidis
Ktima Pavlidis is situated in the region of Drama, in Northern Greece. We believe that great wines must reflect their terroir, vintage and personality, in our case the terroir of Drama, a place well-known since Ancient Greece for winemaking.
The winery was founded by Christoforos Pavlidis in 1998, aiming at the production of premium wines, with pleasing aromas and flavors but also with a recognizable character. To fulfill this goal, we have planted 65 hectares of privately-owned vineyards in order to achieve a complete control of the quality of its production. In these vineyards, native and international wine grape varieties are grown with the aim to reveal the unique characteristics of Drama region.
From pruning to harvest to final blends we follow our senses to create modern and balanced wines. At Ktima Pavlidis we are very careful throughout all the steps following the harvest, which is performed during the night in low temperature… All our grapes are hand-picked at night, placed in refrigerator to reach 8-10°C and then submitted in a rigorous selection by hand. We use two sorting tables, in the second a selection berry by berry takes place and then we use elevators to fill the tanks. All the above in our constant effort to preserve the elegance of a cool region, like Drama, into our wines!
Ktima Pavlidis vineyards are situated in two different sites, distinguished from ancient times for their unique terroir, Kokkinogia and Perichora. Grapes of these regions are vinified to produce wines bearing the appellation Protected Geographical Indication Drama.
