SAMOS
The UWC Samos is one of the oldest cooperatives in Greece and it is included in one of the biggest wineries nationally! Samos wine is one of the basic Greek wine ambassadors abroad, with exports all over the world. Nowadays, 2.200 producers participate in the Cooperative as members.
It was founded in 1934 after actions taken by the vine growers of the island. The history of the Samos Cooperative through time proves that the alliance of the vine growers was a strategically important move for the preservation of viticulture and the protection of the producers’ income.
The UWC Samos receives the grapes, produces the wine and trades almost the entire production of the island. In search of constant modernization, it invests in technology and know-how, in harmonious combination with traditional viticulture and winemaking and in compliance with ISO and HACCP certifications.
SAMOS VIN DOUX
Dessert White Whine

It belongs to the Vins de Liqueurs category, and it is the most popular wine of Samos. It is the No. 1 sweet wine in sales in Greece and it is exported worldwide. From semi-mountainous and mountainous terraces. It has a light golden color, and the nose is dominated by aromas of apricot jam and mature melon. A fruity taste with summer fruits in the foreground. Served at 8-10 ° C.
Alcohol by volume: 15.0%

Produced from organic farming vineyards, with a particularly bright yellowish color . It is expressed with primary aromas of dried apricot and fruit preserves in an intense and harmonious way. Its taste is soft and sweet, balanced out due to the nice acidity. Served at 10-12ο C.

Tasting notes: With a particularly bright yellowish color, “Phyllas” is produced from organic farming vineyards. It is expressed with primary aromas of dried apricot and fruit preserves in an intense and harmonious way. Its taste is soft and sweet, balanced out due to the nice acidity.
Its elegant and harmonious mouth, with the sweet notes of Muscat, is set on an aromatic background of ripe fruit and nuts.

A classic Vin Doux Naturel. Its color is reminiscent of imperial topaz, with an intense and harmonious nose. In the mouth, it is fresh and sweet, and its acidity perfectly balances it. It is pleasantly cool. It is produced from well-matured White Muscat grapes of selected semi-mountainous vineyards.

One of the finest wines in the world from overripe, sun-dried grapes. Its ages for 6 years in oak barrels. Its color is deep amber, with beautiful orange hints, with a nose of raisins, dried fruits, honey and dried nuts. Good acidity, long aftertaste with smoky notes and macaroons.

MOSCATO ASPRO

The White (Aspro) Muscat variety has been cultivated in Samos for centuries and has been inseparably linked to the history, tradition and wine culture of the Aegean Sea island. The dynamic potential of this grape with the fruity and floral characteristics in the mouth and nose, presents a “crisp”, refreshing acidity and gives this wine an intense, “weighty” personality.

Tasting notes: It is produced from Muscat grapes from semi-mountainous, non-irrigated vineyards on dry-stone terraces. Easy on the eyes, it has an attractive, bright, yellowish color and greenish hues. The aroma is rich and “full”, reminiscent of ripe, white fleshed fruit, such as peach, apricot and melon, spread over an exceptional background of discreet expression of the Muscat character.

A rose wine, from red varieties of the Samian vineyards. It balances between soft spices and summer fruit. Enjoy it at 10-12ο C with salads, appetizers and light main dishes.
